The Age of Information (AoI) Series: Part 1

Posted on Mo 02 Mai 2022 in Age of Information

Age of Information (not to be confused with the age of information) is a broad term that refers to quantities that measure the time of a piece of data/information available at a one places, since this piece was generated.

In our recent work for the Allerton Conference 2022 we discussed a fundamental AoI process under strongly mixing events that define the success of communication over time.

Deep Iterative Resource Allocation (DIRA)

During my masters program I worked on learning based algorithms for large-scale networked control systems. We developed DIRA a scalable Deep reinforcement learning based Iterative Resource Allocation algorithm to schedule communication resources in a control sensitive manner [arxiv].

Encrypted Control using Partial Homomorphic Encryption (PHE)

Modern networked control systems contain various types of sensitive data. Ideally, control methods should ensure continuous encryption of process data within a control loop. We showed how this can be achieved using partial homomorphic encryption, see [1], [2].
